A day after eight bomb blasts shook Bangalore, the IT capital of India, six bombs have went off in Ahmedabad, starting at about 6.40 pm today. The serial blasts could be an answer to the stealthy puja of Shiv Sainiks inside Taj Mahal on July 24.

The number of blasts has since gone up to 16 and 18 people have been killed. Over a hundred people are injured. The blasts have taken place mostly in the upper middle class dominated eastern part of the city.
