If the citizens of a nation find that they don’t deserve the government in power they will rise in revolt to change it. But this can happen only where there is sufficient awareness among the masses.

And this happened, to an extent that was possible, in Pakistan during and immediately before the last elections.

That’s usually hard to come by. This revolt happens, alright, but the mechanics of it are difficult to mount.
It may start with awareness, true, but carrying it out needs tremendous effort.
But, you’re right, revolts start from some collective consciousness.

Yes. A people that rises against its government will have to pay dearly in terms of life, properties, and many other things. To a large extent, such uprisings are also misutilized by some groups that have business and other interests and the people that fought for the change are left out in the cold very often.

India and Pakistan have fought each other four times, threatened each other many a times. In between, they have joined hands for peace. For, they introduced some of the confidence building measures and implemented some of them. However, peace remains elusive in the subcontinent due to political instability and mutual disregard, mainly by the political leaders.

True. The political leaders have manipulated the situation to their own ends and have failed the people.

You are right. Politicians everywhere tend to behave like same. Their mad-chase for power obeys no limits.

Hehe.. governments destroying their own people. Isn’t that a reality in most places.
Almost everywhere, politicians have the uncanny ability to perpetuate themselves in power, and/or the spoils of it. They grandstand at the expense of good sense.
But the people only get the governments that they deserve, since they are the ones that put these politicians up there.
